ABOUT ME

I just graduated from Oregon State University in Spanish & Business and I am currently living in Madrid, Spain as an Auxiliar de Conversacion. I love adventure and doing crazy things with new people. The more experiences I can have, the happier I am each day. I'd rather go out and see the world than sit at home on the couch! I enjoy eating out and trying new foods, speaking Spanish or French, seeing or visiting new places, movies, and museums.

PHILOSOPHY

Live every day as though it is your last. Have courageous conversations and work to build empathy. Don't ever stop loving. Remind those you love that you love them, even if you think they already know it. Be kind. Try not to get the weather or circumstances out of your control get you down. When one door closes, another opens. I know these are common sayings or clichés, but they are true for me and I try to live by them! Life's just too short to waste any time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only CouchSurfed once. It was in Oviedo, Spain, and I had a WONDERFUL experience. I look forward to giving back now that I am settled. I am currently living in Madrid near Moncloa intercambiador. If I don't respond to you, don't be offended, but being in a big city I do tend to get at least 3-5 requests every day. I wish I could accommodate everyone, but I can't! If it doesn't work out, I hope you enjoy your stay regardless.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've surfed once, staying with Melizanda and her amazing roommates in Oviedo. I had one of the greatest, most memorable nights of my life there! My current roomie and I have now hosted twice in Madrid, and both times were a lot of fun.

Math, learning/college experiences, Spanish language, meeting new people and trying new things, drinking espresso or eating bread and cheese in various forms. I also thoroughly enjoy singing, dancing, and acting. Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough.

Music = a lot. I like everything besides jazz and heavy metal. I very much enjoy Mariah Carey, John Mayer, Adele, Nelly Furtado, Taylor Swift, Enya, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Coldplay Beyonce, PCD, Beach Boys, The Carpenters, David Archuleta, Dixie Chicks, Fergie, Feist, High School Musical, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have seen Hairspray on broadway. Been in the space needle in Seattle. Biked and snorkeled in the clear oceans of Hawaii. Been to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum in Japan. Had an alcoholic beverage in an Ice Bar in Stockholm. Touched the Eiffel Tower. That's all I can think of right now. I've been to Santander, Spain. And Barcelona. And much more. I'll tell you about it when I see you in person.
