About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Saving the world . . . going with the flow
ABOUT ME
Bit weird, over active imagination, mostly harmless. Love to read and listen to music from all walks of life, absolutely love sitting around with friendly people putting the world to rights, one day my plans will come to fruition! Love the natural world and would like to live in a treehouse, surrounded by nature. Can spend hours taking photographs of nothing in particular, and when there is something to photo I'm there even longer! Avid cider and ale drinker, two things which I believe the rest of the world is lacking, so I'll just have to indulge in my passion for wine!
PHILOSOPHY
Being true to yourself is the only route to happyness.
Ki hoare ki te awa - Go with the flow!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted one person when I was at university and visited couchsurfers in various countries around the world, always finding them friendly and welcoming.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
first hosted another Tim, a cool New Zealander who ended up taking me to a CS party in my own city!! I soon realised how awesome the CS community is!
Lived in a CS community in Australia which blew my mind and widened my horizons.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music wise I listen to almost anything, but most repeated artists are Cat Empire, Frank Turner, Green Day, Chillis and so on. One of my most listened to albums is the New Classic Chillout Album, and I pretty much worship anything that has ever come out of Tim Minchin's mouth!
Movies I have watched a lot, but I'm a bit behind the times. I like things that make me laugh and that make me think. Shawshank Redemption is great, Usual Suspects and Se7en. Requiem for a dream is a great movie which I hate watching! Some lighter stuff like 10 things I hate about you, 50 First Dates, Anchorman and stuff is always good.
Books I like fantasy stuff, Tolkien, Robyn Hobb, Raymond E. Feist and Tom Holt, but also enjoy reading true stories about inspirational people, like Breaking Free, and Sailing alone around the world. At the moment I will read anything I can get my hands on as there are very few English books in Madagascar!!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My journey, for my own reasons
The generosity of the people of New Zealand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can both teach people how to poi and learn from people who are better than me - a free flow of knowledge is the basis of a great society!
I'm a big fan of bushcrafting and survival skills and am always keen to learn from people with more experience and teach people what I know!
I also like researching future energy options and am quite well read in this area.
I am quite desperate to learn the guitar.
