Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had the privelege of meeting and hosting couchsurfers for a few years. For the last while I struggle to commit to hosting and think it is more reasonable that I resign as a couchsurfer for now :( I cherish the good energy, stories, company and times I have had -wishing everyone good couchsurfing! Be polite, reliable and considerate! xoxoxoxo

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hi, though my % of texts I reply to is not 100% -I reply to all requests that are meant for me (ie not general circulars). I cannot promise, even retrosepctively to reply to requests for one or two days in advance-sorry!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately, I note a disturbing trend towards "have a go free rider" couchsurfers - people who have either signed up ages ago or just a few days ago with almost no profile and no couchsurfing involvement requesting somewhere to stay esp if coming for a new job or course. Sadly, this is not the couchsurfing spirit and please do not expect a reply if this is the case-sorry! :(

I have been a couchsurfer host since Sept 2008 and have been lucky enough to meet some lovely people - both surfers and fellow hosts in Belfast. I find couchsurfing refreshing and challenging and I have learnt alot through the people I have met - its such a privelege. The only negative thing is that people very often change plans and dont come - which of course can be a bit frustrating.

I am interested in being outdoors, being in good company, good music and lots more...
