ABOUT ME

my name's gonçalo and i currently live in loures, portugal (which not so far from the capital - lisbon).
i'm interested mostly in anthropology (specially about the paleolithic aka golden age) and so i try to get some influences from the people of that time - from herbalism to bushcraft and all kinds of primitive skills. - i also really like hiking and exploring the wilderness.
my aim is to reclaim to myself (at least some) of the intimacy to the wild we had for such a long time.

i'm really looking forward to meet nice people in couchsurfing as well to travel around using it. so far so good!

ps: i'm vegan so it would be great to stay and meet other vegans/vegetarians while travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

as for movies i tend to choose (and like) drama overall and i'm kind of picky about it but i'd watch anything. but actually i watch more documentaries than movies itself. anyway my favorite films are: the road, into the wild, la haine, toy story, mononoke hime, avatar, dancer in the dark, taxi driver...

music: i listen to mostly everything but specially hardcore/punk, crust, black/doom/sludge metal and some folk, hip hop and post-rock.

i read mostly about anthropology and herbalism but i'd say my favorite writers so far are paul shepard and john zerzan. i also read (and sometimes write) zines (political and/or educational ones).
