About Me
****************I don’t use couch surfing as a hookup app. It’s sad to have to write this out but I suppose it’s necessary for some people to be aware of this/be reminded of it. I use this app as a means to form connections and unify the gaps by interacting with different cultures. Thanks for reading!! ****************
Hello :) I am a Registered Nurse living in the Bay Area. I grew up in Miami FL and I wanted a drastic change so I decided to head to the PNW for college after High School. While in College I joined a volunteer program and was able to take a year off my sophomore year to go and teach second graders in Thailand. It was such an incredible and enriching experience! While in Thailand I was able to travel to Nepal, Turkey, China, Cambodia, Laos, and England. I was completely captivated by travel and knew that after I finished my degree I wanted to make travel one of my priorities. So I came back to the US and finished my nursing degree. I lived in Portland, OR and that is where I began my CS journey. After living there for 3 years I decided to quit my job and travel the world for a bit.
Now I am a travel nurse in the US and work 6 months out of the year and travel the other 6 abroad! Unfortunately, because I am living from airbnb to airbnb with each job contract I am unable to host at the moment. I am planning to be more stationed starting next year and I can't wait to get back to hosting future friends :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and hearing all their stories. I believe community and unity is what brings richness in life. Through my travels I realized what brought the most joy, happiness and long lasting memories were ones made with the people I met along the way. Yes the scenery and the aesthetic of the specific location were captivating but connecting with others was priceless.
