About Me

*PLEASE READ AND ONLY REQUEST IF A SERIOUS SURFER AND NOT JUST LOOKING FOR FREE ACCOMMODATION* I know finding a host is stressful and lot of time is taken, but I will only consider guests who have clearly read my profile, and who I think I will click with*

I enjoy connecting with people and experiencing myself through them.
Very friendly guy with (sometimes twisted) sense of humour. I prefer quieter more intimate activities generally, like walks/hikes/dinners/missions where intelligent conversations can be had rather than pubs and clubs.
I have a general interest in spirituality and the meaning of consciousness.
Been living in Berlin since December 2015 but from South Africa originally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hosted some people in Cape Town in 2015, and now that I am living in Berlin, I would like to host people here too. I have not explored the city much yet, and I think a great way to do it would be with Surfers. At the same time make friends, learn about different cultures and be inspired to visit places myself.

To show you've read my profile, please mention your favourite colour. Please also only send a request if you think we will get along well, not just coz you're looking for free accommodation

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a lot of music, would find it too hard to list everything..
Genres spanning ambient, electronic, dance, baroque, rock, pop, and all sorts of things that kinda define genres. But I do have a very particular taste and it is generally for intelligent music where it is clear creative genius is at work, rather than something being put together based on theory or experimentation. :)

My taste in series and movies is generally comedy, horror, drama, animated, fantasy..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have just come back from a few days in the Kruger Park.
I've been many times before, but this time we we did trails, where you stay in a camp and you go walking in the bush in the mornings and see amazing things you'd never see from a car. Very informative too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a one bedroom flat and the room is a fairly decent size, so I have my bed in there as well as a sleeper couch - so essentially we'd be sharing a room.

I'd prefer to host around weekends, so that we can spend some time together - explore Berlin - Cook a meal - learn from each other.. but we can do our own things too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

NOTE:
At this point, due to space constraints, I am only offering my couch for 1 or 2 nights at a time. Preferably on weekends, as I work during the week. I also don't have too much space, as we will be sharing a room.
Also, unless you really think we'll connect as human beings, please don't request to stay - I am not a hostel ;)
