Overview
About Me
We grew up in this town and live two blocks from L. Superior, three blocks from a grocery store/business area, three blocks from a great bike shop, three blocks from our friend Bob (you'd love Bob), and about four blocks from Northern Michigan University. I teach first grade and Jill also works for the schools.
Our house often has many friends and musicians coming and going. The room downstairs is good because you will have your own space when you choose. The room isn't used for anything but two things: Storing some vinyl albums...and anyone who stops by from couchsurfing. If you are more of a of person who likes to stay out late don't worry; the door off the back deck goes straight down the stairs to your room.
(We know that photo of us is ridiculous, but it's the best one we could find.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We would like to help out someone who is visiting the area and would like a comfortable, laid-back place to stay. We have a very central location in Marquette,
We also know people in their mid-20s who go biking, play music, go skiing, and go out to different bars at night. They are always willing to invite new people to come along and join in whatever they're doing.
We have a room downstairs with a bathroom next to it. The room has a couch/bed/chairs/internet/computer. You can do laundry downstairs. There is also a music room downstairs with instruments from around the world.
We have bicycles that you can borrow, and we have friends with some really nice mountain bike/fat tire bikes that you can borrow too.
(I hope the following makes sense) We'd rather you not consider yourself as a guest. We'd rather you consider this your home too while you're here. Whatever you need just get it. Cook something, get something to drink, etc. As long as you feel comfortable here that's what's important.
