I am retired from a long career in firefighting and EMS. I was in the US Army during the mid 80's, I lived in Germany and visited France. I want to return to Europe and travel.

I spent 3 weeks in April and May of 2018 in Europe riding trains. It was a real eye opening experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to occasionally find a place to spend the night and maybe do some laundry while I am in Europe.

I have been thinking about going to Portugal and staying an extended period of time, like 6 months.

Music: U2, Pink Floyd, Nickleback, The Who, Peter Gabriel. Movies, just too many to pick from. I recently read "I'm Dying Up Here", very good and Nick Masons book "Inside Out" about Pink Floyd.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to fly over San Francisco right after the earthquake in 1989 in a helicopter. I could see the city from the air.
