About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bike everywhere

ABOUT ME

I love nature. I like lakes, mountains, and forests. I also like Type II fun (see below).

Introduction to the types of fun.
Type I: Really fun while it's happening. For example, downhill skiing

Type II: Really fun only in retrospect. You probably still want to do that activity again once the pain fades. For example, backcountry skiing where you have to walk up a mountain before you can ski down.

Type III: Only fun because of the look on someone's face when you get to tell them the story. If everything that can go wrong, does, then it is Type III.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences as a guest and a host range from good to awesome. "Good" experiences tend to mean you don't see the other person very much because one of you is working and the other is sightseeing. "Awesome" experiences are when you get along well with someone instantly and keep in touch when it is over.

I've never had a "bad" experience meaning I've never had anything close to regret regarding a surfer or host.

Interests

Outdoor pursuits like running, skiing, and cycling. Indoor pursuits like reading and beer sipping. I also like puzzles and mindteasers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Biked the equivalent of halfway around the world since September 2012. Started from Vienna and biked to Cesme. Since then I've biked around the Olympic peninsula in Washington, the Sunshine Coast in BC, Cuba, Vancouver island and lots of cycle commuting in Vancouver.

Teach, Learn, Share

I make a mean pizza and I am quite good at living as a Canadian. I can teach you about either of these things. I will also happily share travel tips on Vancouver or any of the places I have visited.

I am the type of person that likes to know small games, puzzles, or tricks so feel free to share.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, United States
