About Me

I enjoy all travel, even with tours when necessary. So far i have visited 95 countries, and now planning for 96th in Romania. I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, travel in my RV, hotsprings, reading, music, and museums. I have had the opportunity to travel for more than 1/2 my life, usually for 2-3 months each trip. I have also visited every state in the United States, most frequently returning to Hawaii. My love of museums has led me to large ones, small ones, bizaar ones, obscure ones, and i usually enjoy the experience. In 3 visits to India I have traveled from the far north to the far south, over 7 months in total. I usually research my travels for 2-3 months reading books and guide books, mostly Lonely Planet.

John Muir trail twice, north to south, 20 days each trip. This is a 230 mile backpacking in the sierra nevada mountains, Never crossing a road for the entire trip. In 1997 I took a train from Amsterdam to Hong Kong, 3 months and many stops. 8 days exploring and hiking in Mongolia. In 2008 I spent 21 days on a ship with 90 others visiting Antartica.

Teach, Learn, Share

My montra, he who goes slowly will go far. He who does nothing wrong DOES NOTHING!, If you say you can't do something, chances are you won't even try. When traveling have time to try new things, new foods, and listen to other travelers to find out about their experiences.
