About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Current mission is a solo mission. get a carrot and dangle it infront of my face

ABOUT ME

I'd like to think I'm an open minded guy who will try anything once (and usually relish it).
I love to meet new people, if I go to festivals you'll usually find me wondering around the campsite just talking to the crazies.
My work takes me round the westcountry renovating old barns and building seawalls and the like. I have a plan to start up an ecohome business within the next year.
I love to get outdoors, in particular surfing, kayaking and anything along those lines.
I suppose these things sum me up, if i could move a little, meet one person, go for a surf and take some pictures everyday then id be the happiest guy alive. So thats what I aim for :)

PHILOSOPHY

live and let live
smile and the world will smile with you :)
also, ive learned every single person has such a different experience of life, if you can tap into that then you can really connect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had my fair share of couchsurfing experiences in the last few years, all of them good :)
A lot of the time I just get hold of one person and stay with them which leads me to meeting other people and so on. Such a great way of travelling.
My home is open to friendly happy people who like to socialise. I work through the week and lead a pretty busy life if I'm honest but can always find time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just owning a crappy van in new zealand was enough to get me invited onto enough peoples couches a few years ago.
I met an awesome girl called Lana whose dad fixed my van and bought us pizza, and stayed at the star tavern in cape foulwind, they were the most amazing people ive met in a long time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Milford Sound, on the perfect day, with (at the time) perfect people.
surfing whale bay (raglan) oh my.....such long long waves.
driving through a road only known to thai hill tribesman, through the troughs of valleys and the peaks of mountains.
finding myself in incredibly stupid circumstances that are generally difficult to get out of, aslong as i do :)

Teach, Learn, Share

i could teach how to use an SLR camera, and up to intermediate kayaking, also i can cook a fair bit, and maybe even teach to surf (but im still in this learning process myself)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am more than happy to cook for people in the house when I stay! I've also been known to build bamboo hamster cages, dig moats, look after house chickens and any other general household tasks
