About Me

Hello World! I'm Greg, a young guy from south Italy in its 20s. I grew up in south Italy in a small town in the countryside, moved to Pisa for the university and I've been living here the last 6 years now. After my bachelor I attended an European Voluntary Service in France for two months, which made me grow a lot since I've met so many people from all over the wolrd and got in touch with so many different cultures. Right now I'm working as an engineer to save some money and, as soon as possible, I will leave to travel the world for a while (from my EVS I've learned that you can learn and grow A LOT when you put yourself in new challanges and environments) in order to increase the experience of this amazing life we're all part of. I have many plans for my future: even if I have not yet a clear and definitive idea of what to do I know I'd love to deal with the wellbeing of humankind and the whole planet (climate change, food and water crysis, sustainability, oceans and forests care etc,). I really enjoy meet new people, expecially if they're from a different country/cultural background so I can learn from them and see things from different points of view. I consider myself an open mind, friendly and genuine person, always trying to live each moment at the best! Of course it sounds like I'm trying to appear awesome ahahha but I don't think I'm that kind of guy who wants to appear more than who he is. That being said, I hope to meet you (whoever you are) in person so we can really get to know eachother!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I think is a super cool way to get out of your confort zone, to know new people and therefore to truly live and experience a new place thanks to the guidance of locals. I think it's closer to the true spirit of travelling: going in an hotel or spa is good if you want relax and space for yourself, but if you want to get the most out of a travel I think this is an amazing tool for doing that!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've always been a music lover. I started taking guitar lessons at 14 and since then my passion for rock music has increased and evolved. Now I play with my friends and I like to listen to new music, always looking for that awesome music that I have not listened yet. I always enjoy a good fantasy movie and recently I'm discovering the magic of books (I've never been a great reader but now I am starting a new book as I finish one). I'm italian so food is a true passion for me! I love to cook and to eat, I'm not vegetarian/vegan but recetly I've started to take more care of my diet and try to eat as healthy as I can (very difficult when I'm back home and mom start cooking no stop). In the last two years I discovered yoga and since then my life took a completely new direction. Meditation and spiritual growth has now became my top priority in life: since I started this path my life wellbeing is taking huge steps forward!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking on a 2 inches rope 15m above the ground into the wild nature, that was truly AWESOME! It's called slackline and is a sport I love and I am still learning.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I learned form my European Voluntary Service, sharing is caring! So I will be very happy to share with you all I know and learn from you all you wish to share!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, if we hang out and you show me some cool places and pubs I will offer you a beer, what about that!?
