I served in the Navy for 10 years, after which I left everything behind in the home I made for myself in MD to settle closer to my son in FL. Before I joined the working world, I needed to have a new experience or two. I've developed a spur of the moment need to make a trip across a few states, while making friends a long the way.

Thus was my introduction to the couch surfing world. Now that I have my own place in my new home city of Daytona Beach, I decided it's time to return the favor and open my doors as a host.

I haven’t hosted in a while, though I am up for the possibility again!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I need to leave my current town and "go off the grid" for a while to figure out what I'm looking for in my future career pursuits. I think I can do so by opening my eyes to new sights, and by meeting people from different places. - late June 2015.

I want to broaden my positive and influential experiences by hosting and planning more spur of the moment trips .

Interests

Performing music (solo or band). I'm hoping to do an open mic night or at least see local live music wherever I go.

As a Florida native, I love surfing (snowboarding since in MD), long boarding, sailing, kayaking, skydiving and various outdoors/water related activities.

I also enjoy intelligent conversations with interesting people.

It's been a while since a movie has stuck out enough to seem favorite since Midnight in Paris. And then there is Fight Club. Being the nerd Apollo 13 still sits somewhere near the top of my list.
