About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live the Kenyan life; Harvest the sky-water

ABOUT ME

I'm currently living in Mweiga, Kenya, working as a Design Fellow for Architecture for Humanity. I'm designing and supervising construction for a sporting complex and community center that collects rainwater in the arid region of Mahiga.

Pretty laid back. I love to meet new people, swap tall tales, cold drinks on hot days, and playing the banjo (although I've yet to find one in Kenya, settled for a guitar)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf when I'm on the road; and try to give a taste of the greatness of Fargo to anyone who stops by. I've got a big debt to work off, so stop on by.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a few folks here in Fargo, and crashed on some couches throughout the central US and Kenya. It's been an awesome way to experience a new place and learn the art of living from other people. I really enjoy how the initial relative anonymity of your average couch surfer allows for immediate real conversation, free exchange of ideas, and true human connections. (Not to mention it's always great to raise a glass or two with new friends.)

I'd love to show you around the rural area of Mahiga, and introduce you to some amazing kids. ( and get you up and close with my project the Mahiga Rainwater Court) Check it out online at:
