About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have the most broad range of experiences I can have.

ABOUT ME

I think I'm a fun guy, who likes to keep everybody in good spirits - easy going. I talk to eeeeverybody, and make friends everywhere I go. The best part of any experience is the people you meet.. The people that know me best would say I'm not real organized and my "fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants" approach drives them crazy. I'm loyal, trustworthy, and optimistic to a fault (if that's possible)

PHILOSOPHY

People matter. Treat everyone as an ends, and never a means, and the more I can love, the more I will receive. While I don't always do that so well, I believe love is the fuel of people, and there is no such thing as giving too much of it. For us to cultivate the next stage of civilized society human rights must be cultivated properly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to host once I'm back home in Colorado!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed once in Madison, WI using CS, but it was a friend who set it up for us. I remember thinking how amazingly simple and great the whole process was.

Interests

When I'm home in Colorado I love to do camping, fishing, golf - basically anything that gets me outside. I love art, music, and making stuff. In the city of Boston, my biggest goals were to explore as much of the city as possible, and travel to as many great spots in the greater New England area as possible. I like to travel in general, and roadtrips are my favorite. I love to be with friends, and I don't usually even care what we're doing.

Music, Movies, and Books

What the Bleep do we Know?, Matrix (yah!), Food Inc., Inequality for All - ANY book by Noam Chomsky!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2009 I got laid off from a very promising job at a bank during an FDIC closure, and it rattled me.. I decided to rent my house out, put everything in storage, liquidated any retirement I had and traveled for months - floated, really. I did a road trip in a van I tricked out like a little house and drove Highway 1 and the 101 from San Diego to Seattle, just sleeping in the car. It really woke me up to a lot of things, and it was a couple of the best weeks of my life.
The other big thing I've done was to pack up and move out to Boston. I have 1 aunt out here and it is the only family for a thousand miles. I didn't know anybody else before coming, and it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life - and I've met so many people that I've come to love, and hope to stay in contact with for years and years to come.
