About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would love to find some hosts to take me to the local nooks and crannies that make their home town special..!

ABOUT ME

I am a Wild-Adventurer at heart, and have spent the last 20 years of my life living and working throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. I have also spent two years in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

I have experienced many avenues of Photography, and have a website showing off some of our (enjoyed with my life-long friend) work. You can review it at www.FranklyWildStudio.com

I have worked as a Business Analyst, Project Manager and more recently Programme Manager in the Finance Industry, and for the last two years have been exploring opportunities in Digital Media and Television. A big change I know.

I grew up in Johannesburg South Africa and have explored and experienced some amazing adventures in Africa - from the Desert to Wildlife to rural Africa and beyond.

Europe has always been good to me, and I have enjoyed working with some amazing people from many different walks of life. I have unfortunately not adventured too much in Europe and therefore I have decided that now is my time to meet with some local minded adventures and maybe share in some of their special places with them..!

I am young at heart, maybe too young, and am always tempted to embark on a new adventure..!

Perhaps I'll join You on one, sometime soon...

I love to meet new and interesting people, I am outgoing and enjoy having a good time, I love to party, and I love to be at parties...but most importantly, I keep an open heart and mind to most situations I find myself in...

PHILOSOPHY

I've decided to open my mind to new opportunities and start enjoying some recreational time rather than burying myself in intellectual pursuits!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only been introduced to CS recently, and have not fully learned how to enjoy all the benefits as yet. I am hoping to re-establish myself in Europe with some help from fellow CS's and then hopefully become more active as a Host and Adventurer!

I have only had the pleasure of being introduced to CS by a couple of wonderful young ladies in the Autumn of 2011, shared some good times with them, and showed them my city of Geneva that they now call their own! They were exceptional people, and if they are what CS is about then I am in the right place and look forward to enjoying more of it...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only been a Host, not a surfer but thanks to the awesome experience I enjoyed with these surfers, I would love to try surfing sometime soon...

Interests

I love the outdoors, far and remote places, anything to do with water, and anything to do with Wildlife. I am an avid Photographer, I enjoy a visit to a local hangout (restaurant/bar/community-event), exploring new cities/cultures, meeting with like-minded people, spur-of-the-moment adventures, cultural pursuits, and of course some quiet time at a Cafe with good people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a great movie, love live music events, and when I have time to read - you guessed it...adventure...! To give you a taste of how diverse my Music taste is I thought I'd list a few: Beatles/Deep-Purple/Talking-Heads/Roy-Ayres/Curtis-Mayfield/U2/Rolling-Stones/Queen/Sting/Joe-Cocker.....to name a few

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been up close and personal with the Big Five...African Lion, African Leopard, Black Rhino, Cape Buffalo and African Elephant...many times...each more terrifying than the last...!

A sunset cruise 40 clicks off the coast of Venezuela

48 Hours in Los Angeles, followed by a 6 hour break and another 48 hours in Vegas!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been told that I'm a great photographer, and I love to share my knowledge and experience with others. Hopefully, they have something challenging to share with me, as with maturity comes an insatiable thirst for knowledge. I've photographed Wildlife, Fashion Events, Products, Weddings, and have a Studio
