About Me

In everyday life I'm a normal guy who's following his twisted life-path: unremarkable and unnoticeable. But in good company (and in full moon) I transform into a sociable friend discussing non-stop everything you could imagine.
Also, I do like help people, that's natural I think.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I do like the initial idea of this project: meet, share, know better people of another culture, help them, vice versa. As I like all what was listed, I participate (I try at least).

Interests

I'm flexible in all topics and points of view.
I do have one weak point though, one passion, an Achilles' heel. And that's the cinema. It's useless to describe my uncontrolling behavior and sparkling eyes when I hear of Eisenstein's vertical montage, or French Nouvelle Vague, or Oshii's cyberpunk visual representation style, or Vangelis' OST in Blade Runner, or Interstellar's black holes in script regarding quantum mechanics, you name it, there's no limits!

Music, Movies, and Books

It can be pretentious, but I prefer not to favorite or like the art, but to learn from it. Yamaoka, Kretu, Rachmaninov, Resnais, Miyazaki, Tarr, Perec, Houellebecq, Dostoyevsky are my greaters teachers, the best of the best, rulers of the world in which we travelling from one culture, ideology, vision to another. For each one of it, differrent teachers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a lot of bad and good stuff in my short life (stealth laxative torture of my school teacher of russian, one-day long alcoholic bicycle chase for sickness resistance...), but, considering my weak point, I could say that 7-hours long experience with no entracte of Tarr's "Satantango" was one amazing thing I've done (I've watched it!). An unforgettable excruciation, a true cinema experience when my ass, back, eyes, mind suffering social-surrealistically for hours.
