About Me

ABOUT ME

I´m 24 years old, studying in Freiburg, Germany and at the beginning of June I´ll be traveling a bit through France, trying to soak up some of the culture and language, and also watch some Women´s World Cup games... Anyway, I'm half Swiss, half American, having lived in Switzerland pretty much all my life, therefore English and German are no problem for me. My Spanish and French are pretty decent. Je pense qu´on peut avoir un petite conversation en francais, meme si avec un peu d´alcohol mon niveau (ou ma confiance) augmente considèrablement! What else about me... I´d say, without wanting to sound arrogant, that for my age I´ve already seen quite a few places on our little planet... half a year in South America, half a year in Hong Kong, a whole year in Minnesota (USA) and many other smaller trips. So, now I´m trying to better appreciate everything Europe has to offer, travelling slowly and locally! Anyway, introductions are always a bit difficult online... Just give it a try and worst case you just say you´re tired and hide in your room until I´ve left your couch!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I like to get a good mix of youth hostels and couchsurfing, as both have their advantages. For me, the most obvious advantage of couchsurfing, as probably anyone would say, is the local touch. Getting to know talking to someone that lives in the city and maybe has even lived there for such a long time gives you a completely different perspective than if you just go to a hostel and talk to people from all over the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I definitely can cook one-two dishes, but those usually require a bunch of ingredients that peole don´t have lying around, so I am also completely fine with going out for a meal or a drink! It makes things easier and you don´t have to trust my cooking skills! :D but in the end, I am really flexible...
