About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find places to stay in Europe between 9/27-10/11!

ABOUT ME

i have lots of ideas. i like trying to make them come true. i get along best with people who are comfortable in their own skin. i love genius, whether intellectual, or revealed in people's passion and talents. often i look for and find it in others, and that's why i really love meeting new people. most often i'm in a general state of moderately to intensely focusing on my own personal growth and evolution. somehow there's an magnetism between myself and people who share this with me. messages from new people welcome :)

PHILOSOPHY

Too much to list... I'm an introspective person who has spent lots of time traveling and thinking, so the rabbit hole goes pretty deep :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I found this project by accident, but was excited when I did. I know very well how enriching the experience of entering another person's home as a guest passing through on a great adventure can be. Those experiences comprise some the best of my memories on my travels. Motels are boring - people are interesting, and generous, open people, willing to aid you on your quest are the best kind!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Might have been turned on to this idea when, during my childhood, we had over 30 exchange students stay with our family. I went on my own first tour in 1996 with my high school band, crashed on lots of couches. Fell in love with the experience. Did so again on tour every year since sporadically, and then full-time (home less than 2 months a year) for 5 or 6 years, until 2006 when I moved home to pursue other interests (teaching and massage therapy primarily)

Interests

hanging out with good people, eating good food, driving and listening to radio, studying/playing scrabble, reading good books, philosophy, introspection, and gracie jiu jitsu. i'm also vegan, but not preachy
