About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Crossing the street in Saigon.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently backpacking through South-East Asia with my boyfriend, Joey. We're very excited to have discovered many parts of Asia together--taught English in Taiwan for a year, checked out Japan last winter, and on this trip: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
We are pretty nice people (if I may say so myself!) who enjoy a good laugh, good food, a good adventure, and good company.

PHILOSOPHY

Do something scary every day and get out of my comfort zones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new at this! But I've met and befriended many wonderful couchsurfers, and attended CS meetups whenever I can in the cities I visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, except meeting CSers at meeteups or just in life. Crashed CSers' couches, (just not through the CS website).

Interests

Always down for trying new things. Love taking dance classes, doing yoga, meditating, and my newly acquired love for scuba diving. Biggest passion is FOOD! I can't get enough good food. Eating and cooking.
I'm currently travelling the strange and mysterious land of South-East Asia with my Boyfriend, Joey. We want to meet people who can show us around and share their favourite things with us--especially food :D

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical loves range from but are not limited to Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Erykah Badu, Telefone Tel Aviv. I really enjoy atmospheric music and jazz as well.
Stanley Kubric is my all time favorite film director.
Authors I've read this year include Haruki Murakami, Salman Rushdie, and Isaac Assimov.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Open water diving
Lived in Taiwan
Graduated from Concordia University
Participated in contemporary jazz dance videos
Volunteered in Uganda, East Africa
Held monkeys
Fed a monkey a potato chip
Explored caves in the north of Thailand on the boarder with Burma

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I studied Political Science, I'm learning to sing and dance and paint... and want to learn a lot more, like juggling.
