COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Life-changing. My hosts were unique, wonderful individuals from Dublin to Istanbul, and I want only to repay their kindness to the community at large.

Interessen

Good wine, good food, good books, good stories. Mountain climbing, swimming, running, seeing, anything that gets the heart rate going. I have a weakness for old rock songs. I love to make art.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music-wise I like geek rock and old man songs; Weezer, Tom Petty and lots in between. Movies are best when they involve animation, Bruce Campbell, zombies, or cowboys. I'm currently reading lots of David Sedaris and Augusten Burrows, and I love Palahnuik and Vonnegut.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Kyoto public bath house. An old Japanese woman taught me to bathe properly, and I've never felt so clean.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I teach classes on comic making to adults. I also teach children's art, meaning I am a master of pipe-cleaner jewelry and macaroni sculpture.
I'm a trained bartender, so I can mix and make quite a handful of good concoctions, and I'm a career poor kid, so I'm good at the art of thrift.
