About Me
Hi!
I come from Lithuania, a small country in in northern Europe (but we actually have the geographical centre of Europe on our land!). I grew up in the oldtown, at the heart of capital city, Vilnius, so from small days I was exposed to culture, architecture and, on the other hand, my parents took me to explore beautiful nature of Lithuania - lakes, rivers, national parks (you can see a picture of me kayaking in the regional park of Labanoras).
I am warm, loving, open-minded person, curious explorer and a funky soul (if you're wondering, yes, I like this type of music). Right now I am tutoring, but in the future I see myself as a therapist, counsellor.
I started "really" travelling in 2022, when I started my Erasmus in Italy. I was quicly fascinated by Italian culture, food (you can also see my passion for Italian food in the photos), people, language, beautiful cities and nature... Living in a student town offered me a possibility to meet people from all over the world and get to know different cultures, hear crazy stories, for example, how a guy got lost in the forest in Venesuela and got mad.
Then kiwi exposed me to cheap flights and I started travelling around. After my first trip alone to Portugal, I took a big leap of faith and went to Thailand alone for one month. And it was one of the best decisions in my life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I started travelling, I would do what all turists do - go to the famous places, eat local food and take a bunch of photos. I was wandering, why travel? This is not what other people talk about travelling, why it doesn't feel right? Then I started exploring what travelling means to me. And I found out that the most fulfilling experiences for me were the ones where I connected with people and they shared a little piece of their own world with me, for a moment I could see through their eyes. What better way to explore?
I am a very curious to get in touch with the culture, to see how day-to-day life looks, have the authentic experience. Turist filled hotels and hostels don't provide that:) But locals can! I feel like the community of couchsurfers is very open-minded, colourful and full of warm, curious explorers as I am. Can't wait to meet you!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very specific taste of music - bossa nova (chill brazillian jazz), techno music with shamanic or folk motives, disco, funk and old Italian songs. I am open and curious to explore!
Favourite books - when I was small I read all fantastic books about magic I could find. Then I got into classic literature, Dostojevsky and Lithuanian classics will always stay near my heart. Right now I am more into self-development and philosophy books, one of my favourite ones is "Opening the Door of Your Heart" by Ajahn Brahm.
Favourite movies about travelling (how unexpected:)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
went to Thailand alone for 1.5 month only with a backpack
Teach, Learn, Share
Share culture, history and food of Lithuania and Italy, interesting travel stories and (if you want) help you look deeper into your soul, desitiny and future.
And I want to learn about anything that you're passionate about. I can listen for hours about anything if the person talks with passion about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have more than 15 years of experience in cleaning, I am well trained by professionals (my mom). I can cook some Lithuanian, Italian food or really healthy and simple veggie dishes. And at last, I can share stories and be a conversation partner.
