My name is Greta (Gretchen), I am studying graphics/printmaking at Vilnius academy of Arts in Lithuania, but previous summer I earned bachelor degree of physics (yes, when I was a child, I wanted to be an astronaut). I am just a small town girl, who likes to make a spontaneous decisions..

I grew up in a countryside, in the middle of fields and now, when I am not living here anymore, sometimes I am missing it.. I really like to take a long walk to the harbour or to the park, or even to the forest.. and just enjoy the calmness. Especially in the rainy day! For most of people, beautiful day is sunny, but not for me. On the rainy day I'll be calm and happy as a child.

Oh yeah, I am vegetarian (let's get started all these jokes! And I am not gonna be mad).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great opportunity to improve language or get to know many interesting things about other culture and country while you're living with foreigners. You'll never know - maybe in other side of the world you'll find your doppelganger or you'll hear the best story you have ever heard, maybe you'll taste the best pizza or you'll meet the most friendly dog in the world...

Interests

I used to play and watch football (soccer), but lately.. not really. Maybe I'd like to 'refresh' this hobby.
I am in love with theater! I like to surprise my friends, too. For example, with dolphin sounds or my scary laugh.
But if I am in other country - I am curious even about little narrow streets..

I like different music, especially pretty old - from 60's - 70's (that's why sometimes I am feeling like I born in the wrong generation) .. But I love to listen Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Queen, Journey, Metallica, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Michael Jackson, LP...

I like comedy or parody movies.
I have seen F.R.I.E.N.D.S, The office, Two and a half men..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, then I was 4 or 5 years old, I took my mom's old handbag, put some pencils with notes and started to run to the local school.. But my dad caught me. I really wanted to go the school. And quickly after this, at 5 years old, I started go to the school. A lot of people are surprised that I finished high school when I was only 17. I am always the youngest in my class.
