About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to conquer my love and fear for the unknown! Meeting new people and seeing the world

ABOUT ME

22 year old American girl traveling Europe and thinking this was the trip "to figure it all out" but unfortunately have realized that we're all just winging it!

Recently graduated university and was disappointed that I didn't immediately experience fame and fortune. Just kidding! Sort of... Aspiring writer and comedienne but mostly just working minimum wage restaurants I like to hang out with people who can appreciate both the darker and lighter aspects of life. I can be a bit shy at first in group situations but thrive one on one. I'm down to drink, dance, walk around, go to museums etc. I speak very mediocre spanish and am always looking to improve. I am also down to just chill and watch bad tv.

PHILOSOPHY

I really do believe that every day everyone is doing the best that they can. It's much easier to give people second chances and forgive their transgressions, but mostly I believe that because I know that I am an incredibly flawed person and I am lucky enough to have people in my life who overlook and accept my flaws. I really do want to accept people for exactly who they ate in that moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Very new to couch surfing. Planning on moving to San Francisco and hope to host there. For now I just want to attend events and meet new people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A girl who lived next door to me in college hosted a few vouch surfers on her couch. At first I was realized surprised by how trusting both parties were but quickly realized how necessary that is while traveling. I'd really like to replicate that feeling while traveling by meeting people. If traveling has taught me one thing is that it is very easy to appreciate the small personal connections we make throughout the day.

Interests

I love to read! I don't have very many skills or talents but I am fairly well read and enjoy recommendations.

I've backpacked all over Western Australia and want to do more treks in the future. I also love to see live music and especially love to go see terrible local bands

Music, Movies, and Books

Royal tenenbaums, Old School, Titanic ( I'll watch anything)
The Sound and The Fury, Middlesex, Anna Karenina, anything by john Updike
Pixies, the kinks, Outkast

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Written two plays one was very successful another a total disaster :) bombed at stand up :) although neither are necessarily amazing they were both incredibly humbling!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can read palms! It's a very stupid skill but a great ice breaker and really can bring people together. I can recommend a lot of movies and television to watch. I never judge for what kind of interests people have and love experiencing and learning about other peoples' hobbies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An open mind and pretty decent sense of humor. I don't take things terribly personally. I don't cook very well but I do clean kitchen well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Peru, Portugal, Spain
