About Me
Hi I'm Griffin! I'm an American college student studying world religions and cognitive science. I write a humor column and really like art and music. I just studied abroad in a monastery in Bodh Gaya, India where I learned a little Hindi (and a lot about Buddhism and meditation!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I recently read Aziz Ansari's book and Kim Gordon's book and they were amazing, some of my fav authors are Kurt Vonnegut, David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, and Sylvia Plath
I like "angry girl music", dad music, lo fi bedroom stuff, psych surf grunge yadda yadda, motown, oldies, rap/hip hop, nicki minaj (deserves her own shout out), 90s music, and then a lot of folk acoustic stuff, country, blues, blue grass. I'm not picky!
If we're being fancy I like Citizen Kane and Buster Keaton and all, (I took different film and media literacy classes in high school which was amazing and taught me a lot about "film") but I really like Wet Hot American Summer, The Punk Singer, Wristcutters: A love story, Wes Anderson, documentaries, bad movies on Netflix
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was the first women hired to my college radio station and now it's over half women, I'm going to run it next teach I'm pretty excited. I really love making music accessible, and planning shows for my campus lets me do that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really good at making friendship bracelets and puns. I can talk to you forever about religious studies and theory and historiography. I love learning anything! I share everything, (I'm not sure if this question means physically or emotionally) but you can have my sweatshirt or my virginity story as far as I'm concerned.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make you an acrostic poem of your name and find you hot dogs and thrift stores no matter where I am, (its a super power), I'm friendly and I care a lot and I'll try to make you talk about your feelings and then we can get drunk or finger paint or something!
