My name is Griffin and I come from a small town in Northwestern Oregon. I'm currently a third year student studying abroad in Ireland, I love being outdoors and exploring, and have learned to love Oregon's temperamental climate.

I enjoy cooking and collaborating with people (I have no dietary restrictions so I am open to anything). I also like photography and capturing beautiful or interesting perspectives.

I love all genres, my favorite shows are Twin Peaks and Futurama. I am currently reading Joyce and hope to start some Kerouac. I like all music, my favorite artists are Nicolas Jaar, Modest Mouse, Luna, Kendrick Lamar, Gorillaz, Chance The Rapper, Animal Collective, etc; I am more than willing to hear new music, and I love to exchange musical experiences.

Being an Aerial Adventure Guide for the past two summers. I worked as a Zipline Tour Guide for the most of last summer, and being afraid of heights myself, simply applying and training for this job taught me a lot about myself and how to engage fear, and I have helped countless people get past their fear of heights and enjoy our courses. (I have so many stories to tell)
I have also visited 13 countries with my family, hiked through the Himalayas, visited the pyramids, and so on.

I enjoy learning new things, especially when it comes to food and music, and I am open to anything people have to teach me. I am good at working with technology, and I would love to teach whatever I can! I know how to make adjustable necklaces and bracelets, as well as tie safety knots, which is something I would really enjoy doing with my hosts. I like playing music and improvising percussion instruments, and I would love to share any musical knowledge of interest!

The thing I enjoy doing the most with people I’m getting to know is sharing stories; I find that the stories people remember (and how they tell them) says a lot about their personality and how they like to engage the world.
