About Me

Hi! My name is Griffin and I grew up on a small island in the Pacific Northwest surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees, where I fell in love with nature and the ocean. I am a marine ecologist and currently working and traveling for a couple of years before going to graduate school.

I am super into hiking and camping or anything outdoors. In the winter, I work as a ski instructor and in the summer I spend my time on the water, sailing, surfing, water skiing and scuba diving.

I really enjoy music, I used to be in a band when I was younger and I love to attend music festivals, some of my favorites being Sasquatch Music Festival and What the Festival in Oregon.

Besides marine biology, I also studied art history in university. Exploring culture and art from around the world is extremely important and interesting to me. Any place I visit, I will make sure to find the museums, exhibits and local events.

I feel like I am open, easy going, down to earth and always willing to listen and have conversations. I really like to have fun but am also very content to chill out and read a book. I enjoy being around and meeting positive, happy people from all over the world, and I think that is the best part about travel, the people you meet and the connections you make for life.

I'm always up for an adventure. I love to learn and try new things. I'm happy going to a club, on a hike, to a coffee shop or an art gallery. Hope to explore with you and I look forward to meeting you :)
