ABOUT ME

I have recently finished my graduation on Biochemistry and, if all goes well I'll be heading to the United States to do my Ph. D. Yet, before I go, I'd like to know a little bit more of Europe before I go there and that's why I am planning a trip!

I'm not much of a party animal, I prefer staying up late in a cofee drinking some beers and talking with friends than going to a crowed disco to dance (I can't dance). I also like to organize parties at home and watch some movies or play a game with my friends.

I am, indeed, a part-time nerd and/or geek (I've never really understood the difference between the terms) but don't worry, I'm not a dungeon dwelling anti-social beast! quite the contrary! I'm really social and funny guy (at least I think so, but my girlfriend disagrees with the last part, even though her jokes suck...)

I believe we should live one day at a time, with as less conflict and as much happines as possible. It might seem a too simplistic view but I believe it works

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I still live in my parents house so I don't think I will be able to accomodate people sleeping in my house. However, I MIGHT be able to squeeze one or two people into my house for 1 or 2 nights tops if my parents agree

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is the first time I try to do some couch surfing so bear with me :)
The whole concept seems very exciting to me, I can't wait to meet new people and new cultures!

Interests

My addiction is music, specially metal, I am always searching for new stuff and I always end up buying too many cds...

I am also very interested in science, especially medical sciences (biochemistry, Nuclear magnetic resonance, diabetes, etc...)

Although I'm a very peacefull person, I enjoy (and I do not know why...) very low quality B and even Z grade movies, especially old sci-fi movies or if they have zombies. :)

Movies: Dune, Memento, Seven, Pi , The Silence of the Lambs, Pulp fiction, American Psycho, Little Miss Sunshine

Books: The entire Dune series, Dystopian novels (like 1984 and brave new world), fantasy books (such as dragonlance, forgotten realms and the like), Terry pratchett (the guy's a genious!)

Music: Blind Guardian is my favourite band. I really enjoy all kinds of metal music (except black metal)
Lately I've been enjoing some post-rock bands, such as explosions in the sky, godspeed you black emperor!, mogwai, and the like
