ABOUT ME

I was raised in Southern California. I lived several years in Nicaragua and traveled extensively through Mexico and Central America. I spent the last couple of years working in eco-friendly/green architecture. I love meeting new people and exploring other cultures. I am a hippie at heart...an optimist...trusting and giving of myself. Passionate about life and expanding my horizons.

PHILOSOPHY

I make my own path and accept everything that happens to me as part of the journey I have created. The only way to judge a man (or woman) is based on results...often harsh, always fair. "Fill the unforgiving minute with 60 seconds of distance run..."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the CS community and hope to meet people in South America and expand my CS experience. As soon as settle, I can't wait to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. I have extensive Couch Crashing experience...but that's different than surfing. I'm looking forward to getting my wings, or throw pillows, or whatever you call it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Nicaragua to Los Angeles...6 countries in 13 days...without paying a dime in transport (including a free flight on Alaska Airlines).
I hitchhiked from Los Angeles to Cabo in 2 days.
I drove a 1961 VW Bus from Nicaragua to LA...13 days, 13 mechanics.
I drove a 1962 VW Bus from Tennessee to LA.
I have paddled up rivers to visit isolated tribes.
I survived life in Orange County without a single plastic surgery.

I speak both Spanish and English.
I play guitar.
I am good with computers.
I know some good card games (and tricks!!).
I am a master at getting in concerts/events that are sold out.
I can start a conversation with anyone.
I don't mind making a fool of myself.
