Hello!

This is like writing an application. I will only remember amazing things about me after I have finished writing this!
so here goes for now:
I would describe myself as a very calm and friendly person. Patience, logic and the ability to help people are possibly quite obvious once you get to know me. Oh, and I smile most of the time ;)
Bit of a geek probably regarding science, TV series, movies and actors and just general random stuff - there are always things to discuss!
I like exploring places together with other people because otherwise I am missing the sharing component of the whole experience...

Does this even describe me? Seriously, just ask, advertising myself is weird ;)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Right now, because I am travelling to Belfast again and knowing that staying with the locals is soo much better than just some random hostel/B&B.
In the long term I hope to have more room and being able to accommodate some of you to show around the city I will be - who knows where that could be? ;) And of course to maybe have the same courtesy shown to me on future trips.

兴趣

Well, I like reading, watching movies and TV series (see below) - which takes up some time so I like to do that with friends to discuss everything. Also learning about science (goes along with the Nursing) and using logic to solve things is quite cool - yes, I am the one that will go 'In fact that works differently!' after having watched a film - I have a enough restraint to not do it during the film :D Random knowledge is cool!
I am very close with my family and therefore spend a lot of time with them and also the sheep my parents are keeping back home!
Many moments are then captured with my camera(s) of which I have a few because I went a bit crazy on ebay once and bought a handful of old analog cameras. Fortunately they don't just gathera dust at home ;)

This is very much my topic! :D
Music not so much as I appear to have very little ability to remember artists or song titles. but films and books definitely stay in mind.
Very difficult to name favourite ones as there are so many! TV series would be Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Firefly, Black Sails, Psych, ...
Movies: The Marvel universe, Snatch, The Fall, The Shining, Donnie Darko, Star Wars, ...
Books: I prefer the big fantasy epics by Brandon Snaderson, Patrick Rothfuss, George RR Martin or historical or scientific stories.. Currently reading Brent Weeks - another genius writer

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

After finishing school I went to Belfast as part of the European Voluntary Service (EVS) and worked with the British Red Cross for one year in the departments Fundraising, First Aid and refugee services. An absolutely amazing experience altogether - so amazing in fact that I decided to stay another 2 years and studied Applied Science at the Local college.
I think this changed me a lot and I still consider it to be the best choice I have made so far! Absolutely adore the people and the country (even despite all the rain - I mean seriously?! :D) A bit Northern Irish at heart now
