About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore, expand, and connect!
ABOUT ME
I'm all about connecting... with new places, new people, new ideas, and new experiences. I've travelled extensively through North America, throughout all 50 States (performed in 49 of them!) and most of Canada. I've also had enough teases of global travel to instill an ongoing travel-lust. My soul is most at home in the mountains or by the ocean, but I can enjoy and appreciate what the culture of a big city has to teach as well.
Rock climbing, kayaking, and diving, or wine tasting, symphonies and a quiet discussion by a roaring fireplace. Bring it all on!
PHILOSOPHY
The day we stop discovering and feeling the wonder of new experience is the day we really start to age....
I think we're also far too prone to thinking the world only exists from our own perspective. I enjoy having that perspective challenged and trying to look at the world through others' eyes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love meeting new, cool people around the world and seeing the world from the inside, through the eyes of locals, whether as a guest or a host. It's been mostly travel so far, but I look forward to being settled with space to offer to others!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Growing up, my parents would occasionally host visiting academics who would visit the university where my father was a professor. I have fond memories of a variety of guests for Thanksgiving dinner, and from all parts of the world, and vibrant dinnertime discussions. I've also had the benefit of connections through college and my fraternity to crash on couches from Western Canada to the Middle East. I'm psyched for the possibility of expanding those opportunities on both sides of the surfing experience!
Interests
I'm most excited to get out of doors, hiking, camping, climbing, kayaking, hunting, fishing or just sitting by the ocean, a mountain lake, or under the canopy of stars. But I also enjoy wine tasting, discussions about culture, philosophy, and politics or going out for a night at the bars or (on super-rare occasion) even a bit of dancing. I tend to be pretty eclectic....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crossed the Hudson River in an outrigger canoe to escape New York City in a blackout.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an actor (and acting teacher) and a musician, eager to continue learning from others' experience. And nothing beats a jam session around a living room or campfire.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Canada, England, Germany, Greece, Jordan, Lesotho, Martinique, Mexico, Portugal, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Martin (French part), Sint Maarten (Dutch part), South Africa, Spain, Swaziland
