About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing the world, and trying to understand as many cultures as possible within a lifetime!!!!

ABOUT ME

Well then, where should I start from?

I can be almost anything at anytime! It depends on the atmosphere in the room I walk into! Gimme something good to feel about, i can be a party animal, or very social, or very talkative! Get on my bad side... well, no need for that, is there?

Born and raised in the US, living in Greece as a student!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is like the Oddysey... To reach your goal you have to go through some hurdles... but don't forget, that the point of the Oddysey isnt only the goals or targets to have set, but also the experiences you've attained...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment it is difficult for me to travel, being with school and all, although I would just looooove to put on my backpack, meet new people, new mentalities, see breath taking landscapes with fellow couch surfers, climb the highest peak with a really good CouchSurfing friend... But at the moment I'm broke even to at least take a flight. Unfortunately, until summer of 2012, i will need to be home. But that doesn't mean I can't participate!

When it comes to CouchSurfing, my greek side stands out: I simply just LOVE having people over, and just being spontaneous and having a good time! My thirst for travelling and getting to know the world is in a small percentage satisfied... until I will be able to manage travelling for myself! Nothing will hold me in my home! But until then....

Until then, I will meet CouchSurfers in Patra and get to socialize with them. I will manage to understand their point of view in life and figure out new ways of doing things that I'm accustomed of doing every day. Whether it's a new thought, or a new dance, or just sharing a laugh!

What I offer to a CouchSurfer depends on what they would like to attain from me. What i can offer is (other than a place to stay :P ) a city tour, some heavy partying with drinks and loud music, a fun time at the movies, a beer in the city center's pedestrian street on a bench, maybe a walk in the park of Patra, sight seeing and taking the CouchSurfer(s) to a place where they can have a beautiful view of the city, a conversation starting from travelling and ending with philosophizing life itself, plus many more! It all depends on YOU, the CouchSurfer(s) what you want from your stay! :)

Just let me know, as for you to have a blast! I can be very enjoyable, as long as you tell me what you want or need from your stay with me! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately, it's very limited... That's because when I became a CouchSurfing member, I was on my exchange student period in Denmark with not much space and was mainly exploring this website. Now that I have returned to my home, and actually DO have enough space, I try to give as much as I can, and try to get as much from the CouchSurfing lifestyle! :D

The very little experience I've had was extremely enjoyable! The CouchSurfers that have come over taught me about their home cooking and their phrases in their language (yes, the good words... but also of some explicit that is common in their language :P ). I have shon them the city and the social life of it, since that is what I have been asked for in the past. But as I said, I'm open to show you anything you possibly would like to know about me and my city! Just talk to me, and i can work magic!

Interests

Languages: I simply love them. Either I listen to them, or i learn something from them, or I find something common with the languages I am familiar with, I simply enjoy it! I also love speaking in another language, if, that is, I know how to speak it :P . Languages for me show, in my opinion, the way of life of a country and it's residents. A language for me, has soul, evaloves, changes, just like a human! Also, the more languages you know, the more of the feeling of freedom of the soul you'll have... A long life goal for me is to be able and manage to get to know as many languages as possible!

Travelling: Meeting people, understanding a different mentality other than your own, seeing the civilization that exists in other parts of this planet, either they are alien or not to me, seeing beautiful landscapes and nature... I'm a CouchSurfing member.... What did you expect?

Philosophizing: I just love those conversations that bring up a point with a rhetorical question that possibly isn't rhetorical... But if it is? Have we reached a point that we don't need anymore answers? Or have we just started a new topic that is the actual problem of humanity?... (Sry for philosophizing philosophy... but isnt it intriguing???)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies? Well, I can watch almost any kind as long as I can enjoy it! But I think my fetish is romantic comedies... Funny, but also sentimental... Sounds cheesy and corny, I know, but life is all a joke, but at the same time we humans, taking the ride of this joke have feelings...

When it comes to music, I can listen to almost anything! Well, as I said, anything except heavy metal and such. But I can stand it I think in the end! :P

I simply love books! Books are the gateway to imagination, and without imagination we would be able to innovate and have a civilazation like today's! Imagine if Martin Luther King didn't dream? Or if Ghandi couldn't visualize his thoughts being manifested? Books can take us there, whether they are history books, or fictional and dragons and witches flying and sorcerers brewing potions... books are essential for life, in my opinion! "A room without books is like a body without a soul" -Cicero
