ABOUT ME

About Me:
I work hard, and I laugh easily and often. I like people who can be silly. I have an awesome twin. I am a bit of a klutz. I'm always looking for a good laugh. Or maybe one of those laughing fits where you laugh until it hurts. I'm lucky, very lucky.

PHILOSOPHY

Every day is an adventure; we grow, we learn, we repeat mistakes with different results, and we meet fascinating people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met many couchsurfers through my friends, and since they were so hella cool, I decided to get in on it. I'm new to it, but I'd be willing to host (if time allows) and I'm interesting in getting more or an experience out of travel than just tourism.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was happy to meet many couchsurfers when I was in the Peace Corps in Bulgaria. I also hosted some, and I was fortunate to meet wonderful people in my travels. I highly recommend the experience to others.

Interests

I love music, dancing, speaking new languages, joking around, practical jokes, stand up comedy, good conversations, great books, people and situations that challenge me, my family and of course traveling, trying wacky new foods and experiences. I also enjoy M&M pancakes, friends that love to cook and share (hehe), and avoiding all the plastic bags that they try to give you at the corner markets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is that a giant boulder fell on my foot while I was hiking through the mountains in Costa Rica, and three surgeries later, I did two triathlons and a marathon. I'm always amazed by the things I see on the New York City subways.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm no culinary genius, but pancakes, crepes, waffles-I'm down to cook and teach. Basically breakfast is the most important and amazing meal of the day. I can also share my experience as an American living in Bulgaria, and I can learn a lot about the surfers coming through.
