About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new fellow lovers of the world

ABOUT ME

I work in quite a staid industry, which is nothing like me, but try to make the most of life when i am off. Trying to do DIY but not inspired. Been single all my life, well almost :-) No children. Want to travel again but held back by the usual worries of loss of income. Tried unsuccesfully to move to Aus, didn't have enough points. Aussie girls sadly never met the right one.
Went to the famous Burningman Festival in the dusty Nevada desert for a week. Absolutely mad unbelievable experience. Take a look on google. Like Mad Max without the hostility. In fact the total opposite from a loving point of view!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for living. If you are reading this you have way more than millions of others on this planet. Be happy for that and give what you can to others. Do not be wasteful and inconsiderate of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tell everyone about it as its a fantastic idea. As I cannot travel myself as much as I would like, at least this way I can mix with travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I always seem to be away when people wish to stay. Though I have had a few guests. As most travellers are younger than I, most cs travellers stay with younger members.

Interests

I love to travel and enjoyed a good spell from 2001 to 2004 including 10 months through 17 countries in Africa, 1 year in Australia and 6 months S.E. Asia. A mad and life changing experience. Africa really gets under your skin. It is an awesome place, they have so little, yet happy. We have everything and still moan. The enviroment is important to me, without chaining myself to fences, not yet anyway:-) I am settled in a good job, though I would love to travel again. When I win the lottery any volunteers? The Travel bug never leaves you. The best education I ever had. I try not to take everyday things too seriously. Hold friends in high regards and believe in treating people as you want to be treated. Like the Theatre, regular at the Cinema. Things I want to do in my lifetime are: have a family (possibly a little late there), buy a property abroad, set up a charity or get involved in one. I would like to attend every major sporting event, at least once, for the social side and the sport. I could happily live in Australia. Anybody fancy it? Great weather and the ideal combination, the of the UK and USA. I really enjoy getting up to London to socialise for a change of scene. I love to snowboard going twice this season. Roast dinners, fish, asian dishes and curries. Surfing the web..Just joined www.tribewanted.com should be fun. Thanks to my parents good genes, people think I am younger. It is your attitude that really matters not a number. I can be a bit cheeky.
Fav films - Lost in Translation, Hotel Rawanda, Crash, Pulp Fiction, Star Wars, Donnie Darko, Amelie, Memento, The Shining, Romeo and Juliet, Motorcycle Diaries, Fightclub, Scarface, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, American History X, Rabbitproof Fence.
