I enjoy working in the field I'm in now because it gives me the opportunity to meet new people and have a secure resident in the process. Some of my previous professional skills were in the hospitality business, a Certified Massage Therapist at one point (still available on request), and working in a CPA's office. I enjoy reading and have that as a daily routine in my life. I have two dogs and 3 cats, animals are a valuable part of my life. I have retired back home where I was born. I am quiet and reserved, for the most part, but still can carry on conversations on many topics, I am blunt and open-minded, which I think gives one the opportunity to explore many possibilities, but always a respecter of one's boundaries. People tell me I'm pleasant and easy to get along with. I'm kind, respectful, and do sincerely believe in the "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" mindset.

For the experience of potentially meeting people from literally all over the world. I give individuals the benefit of the doubt. I'm willing to give new-comer's to Couchsurfing a chance. I'm a pretty good judge of character and will give you a chance, not that I won't ask a few question and maybe some other links like facebook or Instagram but I will not just cast you aside, everyone has to start out some place. I find great enjoyment in learning the various lifestyles and cultures of the world. I may not be able to actually travel to another country, but I can in a small way absorb some of the world through the people who are from there. I've learned incredible things from CS guests about other parts of the world in a personal one on one opportunity and they have all expressed how cool it's been to sit down with me and listen to the many stories of my own life experiences and my frankness and openness that leaves no room for any misunderstandings. Respecting each other is essential. It has enriched us both. Sometimes I think when we get older we stop experiencing the real world, I don't want to ever lose site of the changes around me. I'm glad for the time I've had on this earth and want to share it with the younger generation, in order to do that, I have to be equally willing to listen to them.

Interessi

I enjoy writing and reading. I love animals and if I had the means would probably rescue every animal I could that are in need of a loving home. I have an interest in theater and the arts. I will engage you in any subject and have a constructive conversation, never to closed off to be persuaded to change an opinion. Life is an explosion of ideas, meant to be shared but never forced.

Musica, film e libri

I'm a big fan of smooth jazz, but also like classic rock, the music of the 30's, 40's and 50's. I enjoy suspense movies, sci-fi and, in particular, the who done its. Enjoy British productions a lot. Fan of Downton Abby, Upstairs, Downstairs, Masterpiece Theater productions etc. Reading is my most enjoyable past time. I have an interest in theology, Biblical prophesy, arts, biographies etc.

I have life experiences to teach and share, and still love to absorb the knowledge that others can impart. Never to old to change ones perception and likewise to young to engage.

I think at this stage I'm more interested in hosting myself and building a network up of people I can become friends with from all over and if I should ever desire to travel to their home state or country, I could immerse myself in the actual life and culture from where they are from. I would rather be a part of the community than a tourist.
