ABOUT ME

It's not easy to describe oneself. It's gotta be somewhere between funny and seriuos, represent me as a balanced thinker/wildling party addict. Since I am something like that. Hmm.. my profile seems a bit too serious...

PHILOSOPHY

Hm... something like plane-walker would describe my intentions towards life and being. By foot or mind I travel across the planes, trying to percieve them as accurate and intensive as possible. I've tried several approaches to existence like epicurean hedonism, anxious to fully experience everything that comes along, like misantropy and sociopathy, from which I've just recovered, and like my most recent passion - platonic ultimate search for beauty, beginning from simple things like a beautiful face or landscape, progressing towards the beauty of the soul and reaching the everlasting single Beauty as the idea, which is one and same for all the beautiful things in this world. And all the things are incredibly beautiful because they share the same one idea. As I now feel it's the most intensive way to experience reality, friendship, love, loneliness, travells, thinking, talking, music, nature, etc. It combines all my previous concepts together in a wanderful harmony and leaves me smilling and amazed at everything, as it should be. I think that kind of experience is contagious, so if you're not afraid of the thrilling beauty of this world, I'll gladly share it.

I'm ready to help. Anytime, 24/7, if accommodation or advice or some good time and conversation, playing music, having a party or a tour in the most secretive and typical places of Vilnius is needed, I'm there for everybody.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been to Scotland, Edinburgh and stayed with a wonderful host. We had some great time with her and her flatmate friends. My sister had some surfers at our place, so I kinda hosted them too :D It was brilliant. I'm looking forward to host and surf many places in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, since I'm so keen on philosophy, I have to read quite a lot. Since I've started my plane walking lifestyle and my studies, fiction literature was completely shut outside by philosophical books. I've enjoyed many great works of many great thinkers, but the most thrilling since then was Plato. Two dialogoes in particular: Phaidros and Symposium were mind-blowing. They formed up a harmony in all the previous concepts I had made through my life, connected ethics and metaphysics, soul and Cosmos in a single feeling/idea I now have and experience.
Music is an important participant too, because it is one of the easiest ways to percieve beauty. You just hear it and feel it. I guess I find Gustav Mahler's symphonies to be filled with the most intensive beauty I've ever heard. Then goes many other styles and types of music I enjoy: Bob Marley, 5'nizza, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Nirvana, since I've started to play in a folk-punk band, I enjoy Dropkickmurphys, Flogging Molly and such, I also like RHCP, Pearl Jam, a little of hip-hop, reggae and so on.
About the movies there isn't a lot to tell. Mostly I like adventure fantasy movies like Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean, but I really enjoy "serious" movies too. Anything that reveals certain values and beauty, is it a movie or a book, or a painting, or anything else, I'll enjoy it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Right now I'm chewing on a very delicious candy. Isn't it amazing? Listening to a wonderful music. Amazing. To exclude something as the most amazing thing of them all, leads to understanding that, things we have now are not as great as that one and only. I guess I could present something as the most amazing thing, but actually I'm having most incredible things all the time so why should I remember something better? Ok, ok, enough of that. The most amazing thing that happened to me must have been the fact that I was born. Second to that maybe a first love or being at a summer camp, or seeing the mountains, or a first moonlight drive I had from a space-cake. That fits? It was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I can teach someone the main principals of many ideas and lifestyles. Hedonism, spiritualism, animism, mythological thought, platonism, maybe even a bit of daoism, racionalism, sensualism and more. To construct a theoretical and practical basis for these thinking/feeling systems. I could help to develope one's own ideas and concepts, by guiding thoughts through their journey of realization. I think I'm quite capable of understanding people, their ideas, so I can help unite them into a single notion, harmonize or neutralize unruly thoughts and so on. I've tried doing all this many times and while this is only a hypothesis, I guess that I can do at least a small part of it.
Also since I'm really interested in mythology, lithuanian mythology at the most, I could teach you some of the good old lithuanian way of thought, some old folk songs, dances, rituals and traditions. Also I can introduce you to playing a bagpipe, lumzdelis, birbyne, - certain lithuanian music instruments and maybe even more.
I'd like to learn everything about other cultures, their mythology, traditions, customs. I'd love to listen to one's own ideas, concepts towards life, try to include them in my systems as well. There is so much to learn and think about, that I could never even imagine half of it. I hope CS will help me to see things as I never have.
