ABOUT ME

I've lived in a few different places in Canada. Also in the UAE and a number of places in China.

Grew up with a dad who would wake me up at 4 in the morning to tell me that we had to go to Cuba right away because the tickets were cheap.

I've had quite a lot of different jobs. Most bizarre might have been night security job at a psychiatric hospital.

I like anything surprising or new. I like it when people have crazy ideas about something to do right now, once, just cuz.

I can live on a steady diet of the same crap every day. This will be very convenient when the apocalypse comes and we are all living on canned pineapple and dusty bottles of water.

I like odd lighthearted projects. I.e making a chicken trap or making a really long stick with popsickle sticks and super glue.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to work on listening, gratitude and appreciating simple pleasures.

Interests

Photography (travel photography and street mostly), cycling and travel. All three at the same time whenever I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Old school hip hop and trashy top 40 stuff. George RR Martin. Can't really watch movies due to attention span issues. I watch the UFC pretty religiously.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise over Angkor Wat. Night swimming in Haolong bay with the mysterious foot poking sea creatures. Sun circling the sky in the Yukon Territory.

Teach, Learn, Share

Know a fair bit about how people acquire languages.
I know how to make a trebuchet, more or less.

I now know a lot about Chinese fighting crickets. Possibly more than I want to at this point.

I have a pretty solid knowledge of photographic technique.
