About Me

Hello everyone! Here I am, answering the typical 'about me' question. How am I? Let's see.

I consider myself a friendly guy, open-mind lover -of course I consider myself open-minded... I can't even imagine a close-minded person trying couchsurfing, right?- and the kind of man that sees a guitar in a party and forgets everything else because he has just fallen in love. Yes, I am that freak guy.

Well... what else?

As you may imagine -oh, 'imagine', such a beautiful word- I'm musician. I play classical piano since I was 8 and I think it's one of the best decisions my parents have ever made. A couple of years ago I started playing guitar and now I'm trying to get fun with bass. Maybe next year I will pick up some violin or other chord stuff.

I debate. I don't know how much common is this in your country, but in Spain I can guarantee you that not a lot. People looks me like I'm a weird guy because I love it. Well, you know, maybe I am.

About a year and a half ago my mind changed radically and I started a business with some friends. It totally crashed off. So now I'm with my second startup, and I'm proud to say that it's working incredibly good. Continue with my dreams is a decision that has totally changed my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travel. I love meet new people. So I thought 'What if I start traveling AND meeting new people at the same time?'

So that's how I started on Couchsurfing. Not as long as Ted Mosby's stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, books, music and movies. My favourite themes.

Books: From Dostoyevsky's Karamazov Brothers to Murakami's Hard-Boiled Wonderland. Tolstoi, Fitzgerald, Böll, Borges, Cortázar, Wells, C. Clarke, Scott Card, Hemingway, Sophocles, Bradbury and a lot more of writers who died long time ago. That makes me kind of blue.

Music: Dire Straits, Placebo, Phillip Glass, Brian Eno, Bowie, Sakamoto, Yes, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Weezer, Sufjan Stevens, Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Sonic Youth, New Order, Cure, Sigur Ros, Lou Reed, Depeche Mode, Dylan, 65daysofstatic...

Movies: Movie directors' Top 1 for Michael "oh-my-god-I-can't-believe-he-is-so-amazing" Haneke. Then I can mention Tarkovski, Kubrick, Truffaut, Godard, Allen, Kurosawa, Lynch, Nolan, Bergman...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Start my own business when I was at my first university year. I don't really know how could I get into that weird world, but now I can't imagine life without entrepreneurship.

Well, also, I grew up both Mewtwo and Hitmonlee up to level 100 in Pokémon Red. I think that's kinda amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Experiences, memories, different cultures and, yes!, new and tasty recipes. I also love cooking, so you'll enjoy our lovely spanish potato omelette.

Of course, I think Couchsurfing must be ruled by good manners, so I'll always give you a gift from Spain (*). I'm thinking of wine or our beloved torrijas and things like that -yes, I'm trying to buy your friendship with delicious food and drinks- but if you prefer a bull with the spanish flag, well, you are free to ask!

(*) -Or, well, if you're spanish, something from my city or lots and lots of Mahou-
