I am just getting ready to embark on a trip to South America where I plan to study Swasthya, and participate in an Energy Workshop in Sao Paulo! So excited. How I came to find myself in this adventure started with the revolution of my consciousness, which in my mind began junior year of university. (which makes sense if you believe our lives significantly turn in 7 year cycles, thus my 21st year of life) Anyways.. at this time I discovered a fascination with the connection between mind over matter / the double slit (quantum physics test) / and simple - persevering change. Due to a skiing injury, by the time I was 21 I could not sit on the ground with my legs crossed, that year my father had a valve in his heart replaced and his hip replaced. So I decided to take notice. I found myself exploring yoga. Within a year I was practicing headstands and comfortably sitting on my knees! (A small feat but it has gone a long way.) This mindset of mental vibes turned me onto a Raw Food Diet specialist named David "Avocado" Wolf, who wrote a great book called "The Sunfood Diet Success System." Now I am not a total Raw Foodist (it is very expensive depending where you are), but, I have come to realize that what I thought was a deviated septum (causing snoring so bad that I would wake up with pillows from my college roommates on my face.. lol, and my mother being scared that I would die in the night due to sleep apnea.. it was bad, real bad.) Well, I came to realize through this book, that snoring like most problems, or reactions our bodies manifest, had a cause, in this case it was too much diary.. Not to mention the quality of U.S. diary products and the industry practices.. mm won't go there.. Anyways six months later, no cheese (sucked.. love cheese), no milk, and reduced meat, some more yoga and I was breathing as if there were never a problem. Not only was my snoring gone, but my energy went through the roof. I have never been a morning person, but now I can't waste the day... and I still savior the night. Point being, I pushed past the dogma of the conditioned mindsets from my child hood.. "Milk is good, makes you grow big and strong" blah blah...(not because of the growth hormones..lol) anyways..A little questioning, and some monitored changes, and dam what a difference. Now I am going to Brazil to continue my journey, and learn more about the powers of a present mind and challenged body. Sweet, hopefully I'll meet some more awesome peeps.
