ABOUT ME

I was born and lived in Chicago for 18 years. My family are all immigrants from Jalisco, Mexico.

I have now been living in Boulder, Colorado for 2 years studying Electrical Engineering. Boulder is known for its hippies and mountains. I love hiking and dancing here! Spanish and English are both my first languages. I want to study Biomedical engineering for graduate school in the West coast or East coast of the US next.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Last summer I studied abroad in Barcelona and met with people on CS to learn more about the awesome cultura catalana. I traveled in Spain for 3 weeks after that with people from CS and hostels. I had such a great time I am going to study abroad again.

Now I will study abroad in Madrid for 4 months.
Before that I will travel and meet awesome people in Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France.

My drive for traveling comes from having lived in one house in Chicago from when I was born until I moved out for college at 18. Although I love Chicago, I desire to experience and taste the world all over!

I love all kinds of music! I mostly listen to latino and american music but I will try anything. I love rap, R&B, pop, all kinds or rock, indie, reggae, bachata, salsa, merengue, duranguense, and some country music.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is my ultimate favorite movie!!! It won most original screenplay rightly so.

The Hobbit movies are great because I love their adventures.

My favorite books are Ender's Game, The Kite Runner, & The Outsiders!

Favorite TV: The Americans, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Parks and Recreation

Although I come from a very poor family of Mexican immigrants, I have earned many scholarships that allow me study just about any where!

I have taken salsa dancing classes and love teaching people although I am not an expert!

Also I can teach engineering! It is cool and fun :)
