About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding Adventure!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Minnesota with my parents, 2 brothers, and sister. I've always had the urge to travel though, so I went to college in Texas, and returned to Minnesota after I graduated.
I have been several places overseas including 2 backpacking trips through parts of Europe, but I wouldn't really consider myself well-traveled.
I currently live near in a suburb of Minneapolis and enjoy knitting, coffee, scrapbooking, and as many outdoor adventures -mostly hiking with my dog- as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Work hard, have fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at a group home company for 5 years. I often left my shifts with a sense of amazement and joy. The people I worked with often taught me life lessons of contentment and work ethic, understanding their restrictions, but still giving life all of their effort. I was often struck by their joy and generosity toward each other and the staff.

The Eiffel Tower - I know it might seem typical for anyone who has been there, but I was truly amazed. We were there as evening turned to dusk and then to dark, so we saw the tower in the light, and then at night when all the lights came on. Not only was the tower gorgeous as the lights sparkled, but the weather was cool and clear, giving a great view of the city from the top of the tower.

Walking through the ruins of Pompeii- super weird, but also really cool.
