About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live every day as if it were my last, because one day I'll be right.
ABOUT ME
Hey. My name is Gudny, and I was born in 1986 in Iceland. I grew up in two different countries, first in Iceland, and from age 10 in Denmark. That is probably the main reason why I've always been adventureous, open and broadminded towards new people and places. I grow everytime I meet a person from a different country, or with a different background/opinion/view on life, and that's why I live. To grow.
My goal in life, is to develop as a person. This is partly why I work as an actress. It is my way of showing the human being as it is, and learning about other people and how they think.
I love good food, music, movies, places, and nature. I strive to be a good person and I care about other people. I enjoy going out, seing things I've never seen before and laughing as much as I can while doing it. I'm pretty emotional and sometimes I get very sad, thinking or hearing about bad things happening to people who don't deserve it. Good things should happen to good people, or actually to all people. There are too many bad things going on in our world, too much hate, anger and madness. It's necessary to be smart and on guard. But this can be done in unity with being openminded and friendly and I strive to do so. I'm proud of the things I've achieved in life so far and I'm very selfconfident, because it all starts with appriciating who you are and enjoying your own company. I love a good discussion about politics, philosophy, life, the world, music, love, art and every other matter that comes to my mind. I care about things, nature and I treat everybody with respect.
PHILOSOPHY
I see life as a gift. I'm very grateful for every day I can get out of bed and say "Hey I'm still here". I love my family and friends more than life, and my philosophy is that you only have one life, so why not live it. Make sure you leave a good mark behind, that you did something good for other people and that somebody loved you.
I'd also rather regret things I've done, then the things I haven't done.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've met with a few people and stayed with Anastacia, a great Russian girl before I moved to London. I'm always up for coffee or a drink, or a meal or a dance or a crazy weekday or a game of Twister out in the street or anything else that comes to mind. Life is ever changing, today I'm feeling like staying at home and relaxing with a good book, but tomorrow I might feel like going to Santiago for the week and make some friends for life. And being a part of CS makes this possible, which is why I love it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well I've had friends, and their friends staying with me. Nice and polite people are always welcome if I have room for them. Couchsurfed with Anastasia in London a couple of times before I moved here myself. And talking to people asking for insider information about London.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love adventure and fairytales, so Harry Potter, Lord Of the Rings(I'm reading the Hobbit right now), the Icelandic Sagas, Batman, Tim Burton stuff, CSI(not much magical about it though), Mary Poppins and everything Disney's ever made:) In Music, everything. I like music that moves something inside me, but the genre doesn't matter. It's the way the music makes you feel that counts.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There's so much. So many places, but having been on a stage in front of live audience of over 25.000 people 5 times, is pretty awesome.
Also visiting Malibu Beach in Los Angeles last year for the first time, felt pretty cool. And once, I was on the train to Bournemouth and it was early in the morning. And I was looking out the window, and I was just gripped by the subtle and quiet beauty of the forest we were going through. Those moments are happiness to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well... I know how to feel happy, to do the things you dream of doing and enjoy life, but can it be taught...? Otherwise I can teach people one of the 6 languages I speak(English, Danish, Icelandic-fluently and Spanish, French and German on an intermediate level), or I might have an insider knowledge about a place I've been to(I've visited around 13 different countries). I love to sing, dance and act, and I could teach somebody how to write a song or use their body, or emotions. Oh.. And I know how to mix rum with anything:)
