Overview
About Me
I like being outdoor, either for taking long walks or riding a bike or just resting in the sunlight. Of course I like animals, both the cute and the weird ones, like invertebrates and parasites! XD In the past, I volunteered in a hospital for marine turtles and on a research boat to spot cetaceans in the Ligurian Sea.
I enjoy learning languages, and I keep myself motivated by following blogs and Youtube channels speaking the language I want to improve. I love making friends from other countries, either through cs or penpalling: getting along with someone living thousands of kilometres far away makes the world look smaller and nicer :)
I also like art, in a very primitive, illitterate way: I don't know many artists and genres, I just look for the vibes! I'm more sensitive to colours than to shapes, I guess. I love art museums as much as the street art and sketch books :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I enjoy sharing experiences when travelling, feeling closer to a local than to a simple tourist, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Rock and pop bands like Offspring, ZZ-Top, AC/DC, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears...Celtic and celtic punk music, electroswing, psychedelic music, ska, bossa nova. French music of Indochine, Manau, Julien Doré. I also like discovering traditional music from the world. Generally speaking, I like the music played with bagpipes, handpan, harp, piano, violin and drums (preferably not all together! XD ).
I like drama movies (Into the Wild, The Departed, Black Swan, The Best Offer…) and documentaries (Plastic Paradise, Sharkwater, The Salt of the Earth...). I also enjoy watching TV series like Breaking Bad and Games of Thrones.
I used to be a hard reader of novels, but now I find difficult to finish a book (even if I keep spending a lot of time in libraries and bookstores!); so, nowadays I read plenty of articles from magazines and online blogs about Biology and current events.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did bungee jumping for my 20th birthday: a part of my brain was convinced I was killing myself and it produced a series of sensations I have never felt before. And the final burst of adrenaline was awesome!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Italian and exercise with you in English and French, if you want. I also can tell you curious facts about animals and discuss of environmental issues like invasive species and global warming.
I’m generally quite curious, so I often try to learn the language of the country I’m visiting and I make a lot of questions about anything I find new or bizarre.
I also enjoy the time shared in silence, working together, reading or listening to music, or just around a cup of tea in the evening.
