About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Specifically--learning how to play Brazilian forró. Generally--living and love life!

ABOUT ME

Raised in Texas, with lots of family in Mexico. After college, I worked in DC for three years. I then moved to Mexico City for work and later to France.

I returned to Texas to finish graduate school and learned Portuguese. After brief stints in Atlanta and New York, I now live in Los Angeles.

PHILOSOPHY

We all make mistakes and we make great things. Just keep learning from all experiences and everything will be alright.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books-anything written by Bolaño, and therefore no Paz.

Music-I enjoy all. I currently picked up the musical triangle to learn some forró!

Movies-I enjoy documentaries, among my favorites are Hoop Dreams and Man on Wire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- The holiday season in Oaxaca, Mexico is incredibly fun. The city is full of color and food and history. I was happy to spend it with my family there.

- Basque country in France and Spain have to be some of the beaches and natural surroundings I've ever seen.

- In 2013, I visited the four major Portguese speaking countries of the world -- Angola, Brazil, Mozambique and (obviously) Portugal.

Countries I’ve Visited

Angola, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Guatemala, Guinea, Haiti, Italy, Mexico, Mozambique, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Mexico, United States
