Overview
About Me
Hi everyone, I'm a 20-years-old student from Bologna (Italy). I study Political Sciences at Alma Mater Studiorum (Bologna University). I'm also a blogger and a (sloppy) musician: I play guitar and I (badly) sing.
I speak both English and Italian.
:)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Nowadays I'm attending the Political Sciences faculty at Bologna University; my bachelor degree is called International and Diplomatic Sciences, so I have to learn many subject through an interlinguistic and intercultural approach. Combining this fact with my love for travelling and making good friends with different people all over the world made want to join Couchsurfing.com.
Interests
I'm interested in many different subjects, from politics to music, passing through arts, movies and football. My true passion is travelling all over the world and starting to learn new cultures, languages and way of living.

Music, Movies, and Books
In reference to music, I really listen to very differnt kinds of it, from blues to folk, but I have to confess my favourite ones are metal (black, death et similia), 60/70s rock and punk.
Secondly, I'm not a great expert in cinema, but my favourite movies are Kubrick and Spielgers ones.
Then, I'm finally keen on political, historical and philosophical literature (from Marx, Marcuse, Horkheimer, Gramsci) but I also love narrative books authors like John Steibeck, Ernest Hemingway, Giovannino Guareschi, Italo Calvino and Cesare Pavese.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've travelled with a Greek friend of mine in the less turistic, but most "social" and interesting zones of Athens (Exarchia, Peiraia) and Greece (Kalambaka, Trikala, ta Meteora).
I passed the 2-km-long-bridge that separates Sturovo (Slovakia) and Ezstergom (Hungary), on the Danube, during a heavy storm.
I sang for a whole concert without knowing the lyrics I had to pronounciate.
Teach, Learn, Share
In my free-time I teach Italian language to immigrants from Africa and the Middle-East, in order to make them able to express their wills and needs and to have their rights granted. This made me think about how much culture people can share, both teaching and learning at the same time with other people.
I think the same dynamics could be applied through international hosting and intercultural exchanges: sharing different way of living is the best way of learning something different and understanding each other.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share, first of all, my house: I live in the Metropolitan City of Bologna, wonderful city of arts in Northern Italy, where you can eat the best food and wine in the world, admire artistic masterpieces like S.Petronio's Basilica, the many medieval towers, Piazza Maggiore, the Fontana del Nettuno, Sette Chiese, San Francesco, the Pinacoteca museum and many other fantastic places.
Of course, if you will be my host, I will be glad to show and illustrate you the history of the most fascinating places in town.
My house is not in the full centre of the city, but is really near to many supermarkets, parks and bus stations to reach the centre (25-30 mins).
If you want, I can host you also in my house in Forlì, a smaller city in Romagna, 65-km to Bologna; nice one, and really near to Rimini and the Adriatic Sea.
You could obviously choose. I also can send you some more pics of my house and my city if you want to check them before coming.
I also can make you knowing some friends of mine and the most typical, but not too touristic places to eat or buy italian products.
Finally, if you want, we could share linguistic and cultural conversation.
I hope to make really good friends with all you who are coming to Bologna.
