Overview
About Me
I'm an educator and entrepreneur working to cocreate positive social impact. I love developing projects that can have a positive impact in people's lives. Last, I love traveling and connecting with people from different backgrounds, cultures and views of life.
My graduation is in Physical Education, but I've never really worked in the field. I used to dance and study/practice traditional martial arts (which I recently got back to) and that led me to study PE in a time I didn't really know what I wanted. That is actually an interesting talk over beer. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My passion for traveling comes with an urge to connect with people. Whenever I'm in a new city I like to explore it from the eyes of a local. So, I'm not very fond of the too "touristy" stuff, like pictures in front of the Eiffel Tower and so and so (That doesn't mean I won't get mine when I'm in Paris, just that I'll prefer that someone takes me to the best hidden boulangerie in town).
I often go for a Hostel or Airbnb, I've been putting off CS for a while, but thought it is time to get started. No particular reason, I just felt a little awkward asking people to host me, since I can't reciprocate (except, maybe, with some stories, cooking and a few drinks or some other creative endeavor).
Interests
A t-shirt, bermudas and tennis shoes. I'll wander around a city that is new to me slowly and observe the people, the architecture, the dynamics of life in the city. I'll hit meetups and strike conversations to learn about people's drives, passions and fears. I'm an extrovert who loves connecting and learning.
I have a passion for music, dance, acting and, well, arts in general. I'll go to a Museum before I go to a Sports stadium. I do love sports, though I'm not in the best shape of my life - I am trying to catch up and have been jogging regularly. Watching sports, unless I'm with friends having a good time, is what doesn't really appeal to me.
I also love reading and will always travel with my ipad to carry my e-book library (growing at a constant rate of 1 book a month).
I prefer vegan food, but am not strict. I do like my meat from time to time. I'll drink whatever, but with moderation, I don't like being drunk.

Music, Movies, and Books
Leave me in a room with Huxley, Saramago and Neruda; Blues Traveler, Zaz and Bach's cello suites; The Wachowskys and Ridley Scott. Just feed me every 3 hours. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've made friends from lots of different countries, cultures, religious beliefs and languages.
I've started more than one business with no money whatsoever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a natural and trained educator, I can share and help you learn pretty much everything I know. Pick from starting up a business to cooking a killer risotto.
I'm a diverse learner. My interests range from wine culture to neuroscience, going through philosophy, mindfulness and slack line.
What I Can Share with Hosts
CS is not a way of just saving money for me. I want to have meaningful shared experiences. Get me your couch and I'll bring food and drinks with an interesting conversation. ;-)
