About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm traveling often with the organization I work for, Where There Be Dragons. About half of the year I'm traveling pursuing my own personal interests, yoga, ayurveda, art and language among other things.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the US and went to University there, since then I've pretty much been away seeing the world. There is a part of me that wants to experience everything and another part that knows that I learn more being in one place for a while then by moving a lot. Still, I love to travel and I've found that it's part of my karma in this part of my life to be on the move. I try to take advantage of every opportunity to learn, share and grow. I currently work as an educator and I am fortunate to be able to take students on these same adventures of learning and inspiration. I love all the wonderful things of the world, music, art, dancing, cooking and good company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to become a more active member of the couchsurfing community, I can't host right now because I don't live anywhere, but I'm happy to share anything that I have with whoever is kind enough to host me and hopefully one day I will be able to reciprocate with a home of my own.

Interests

Hm, so many things that inspire me it's hard to know where to begin. I've been studying yoga and ayurveda seriously for a while now, those are my main interests right now. I grew up with the arts, I love drawing and sculpture and anything creative. I like to try to play music, I travel with a ukulele. I love languages and I'm always happy to try to learn to communicate with someone in a new one.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything with stringed instruments, especially classical guitar and banjo. I love all the folk music of the world. I grew up on the punk rock scene and I still have a soft spot for harder music too. I am a closet sludge-metal fan...please don't let that dissuade you from hosting me.
Books: I mainly read non-fiction and historical fiction, which makes for a kind of boring book list.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to share whatever I can anytime. Of course I'm always excited to learn too. I can teach yoga, some ayurveda stuff, art...

What I Can Share with Hosts

What's mine is yours, I may not have a lot to offer but I'll give it freely with all my heart.

Countries I’ve Visited
