Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet but I'd love to travel to Japan, Israel, Austraila, and Brazil. I'd really love to get back to Canada one day too.

Interests

Friends, Family, Music and concerts, Movies, Books, Sports (watching college sports baseball, football, basketball, and soccer) (playing football, volleyball especially beach volleyball, softball, and baseball)(wishing I was good at tennis, soccer, golf, and basketball) , Language: I love to hear other languages and accents and wish I could learn more , Culture, Travel. Simple and minimal living fascinates me especially the tiny house movement and the people who have decided to live off the land and off grid in a self sufficient way. I'm kind of a strange breed. I don't think I fit well in any particular box although given time to get to know someone I believe I can learn to like and certainly get along with anyone. I have a very wide variety of interest and I consider myself to be somewhat of a sponge. I like to soak up my surroundings from the sights, sounds, and scents of the environment and landscaping, to the plants, animals, and people. I love to learn about new things and hear people's perspectives on things. I am a big believer in weighing both sides of any issue and that line of reasoning has caused me to change my positions on some issues over the years, but still allow me to relate and understand why someone may still believe something different and still be ok with that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a bit of a movie fanatic.. I used to work at Blockbuster back before that sort of thing went extinct and I developed a love for movies. I have seen too many to count. I love music about as much as movies. I used togo to about 10 concerts a year. In the last few years I haven't been as much as I used to go because I work more now, but in the last few years I have been to see Coldplay, Jason Mraz, Matisyahu, The Swell Season, Less Than Jake, Rachael Yamagata, Relient K, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Bush, The Howling Bells, Citizen Cope, and Seether. I like a very wide variety of music styles and genres. I like to read too. I think I picked that up after working in a bookstore..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking on a glacier near Banff, Canada, whitewater rafting in Tennessee, bungee jumping in Florida, getting to go on a mission trip to Tequila, Mexico, hiking in the mountains of Utah, and my friend still trying to get me to go skydiving.
