About Me

CURRENT MISSION
At the moment I enjoy travelling to unfamiliar places and getting involved with whatever people are doing there. For me, couchsurfing is a good tool for sharing the life of locals; for the same reason I hitchhike, do work exchanges and talk with people on the street.

Since July 2015 I have been living and working at permaculture farms, eco-projects and intentional communities in Europe.
In May 2016 I started an overland journey, hitchhiking through the Middle East, central Asia and China to southeast Asia. Every day I learn about local life, traditions, food, kindness and sharing.

PHILOSOPHY

Live playfully, moment by moment. Love, beauty and courage are our guides.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the pleasure to help people find a place to rest their heads, and others have done the same for me. So yes - surfing and hosting here and there, but I am new to doing it through the internet.

Interests

I'm passionate about roaming around the world and opening up to the unexpected. Hitchhiking and sharing work, food, everyday life with people in many places. I love to experience the world in a hands-on and personal way.

For inner work my path is yoga. I consider myself still at the beginning of this, with dedication and curiosity to explore what the path will lead me to.

In university I followed a variety of sustainability-related subjects and I obtained a degree in anthropology. My main intellectual focus is on the social and cultural aspects that are involved with sustainability and healthy ways of living.
I'm also hugely excited about gardening and looking after animals. Always willing to share knowledge about taking care of the land and the life that grows on it.

I like to play with the earth's powerful elements. Surfing waves, kitesurfing and snowboarding.
Also, a game of ping-pong can really make my day and I'm always up for soccer and a casual game of chess.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
Psytrance & Ambient - don't know the DJs, but love the parties :)
Reggae and Dub - mostly the older stuff
Jazz, blues, soul - anything groovy
Guitar music - the sort that makes a sunny day sweeter and dinner with wine more delicious.

BOOKS
Anything that gives insight into the mystery that is life.
To me, science cannot explain the deep mysteries, which are unexplainable, but it's nonetheless a nice tool for getting a little clue about how some things work. I enjoy delving into writings in any discipline, from physics to anthropology and from biology to geology.

For reading good stories I enjoy:
Paolo Coelho
Herman Hesse
Salman Rushdie
Irvin Yalom
