I do a lot of equity and justice work and I strongly believe that loving each other enough to make sure we are all treated fairly is the most important thing we can all do. I like to read and learn new things and hug people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally got on Couchsurfing because I met some folks doing a Spanish Class on Couchsurfing and they were amazing people with amazing stories and I wanted to meet more folks like that. Now I'm on for similar reasons. I love to meet people from other places and offer them a clean, safe place to stay when I can. Adopting new international perspectives leads to so much discovery and growth, and usually great food!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Les Nubiannes, Chargaux, Ana Tijoux, The Coup, Janet, Madonna Janelle Monae & Beyonce. (and a lot more!)
As for movies, I love Black Panther (Wakanda forever!!) and I have been enjoying the Marvel movies although I wouldn't say I'm a fan. I loved Like Water for Chocolate, and binge-watched Sense8 and Brooklyn 99 on Netflix.
I also like the Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein, Between the World & Me by Ta Nehasi Coates etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the end of June I bussed to the Texas Border with the ACLU to join a rally of over 1000 where we protested ICE torturing kids and ripping apart families seeking asylum.
